The fund for Samanikethanaya – or Dundee International Centre - is still open. We have raised some £100,000 for the building and associated costs. We now need some final additional funding to put in place all the resources which will be needed, (beds, tables, kitchen equipment etc) and which will allow the centre to operate. A computer room will be a major cost. There will also be salaries of local staff to cover for the first 3 years of the running of the centre.
Perhaps you are a former volunteer reading this. If so, and have valued the experience that Link made available to you, then you might want to help us in our effort to put down a lasting marker for the future.
Please consider raising some funds, perhaps through a sponsored event, or a cheque if you were a volunteer some time ago! It will all go to support the Samanikethanaya Centre, which is a culmination of our work with 700 volunteers over the last 17 years. It will make all the difference.
